This package is for a Group of Students of minimum 21 of a particular school/college and accompanied by 2 Teachers.
3 Days & 2 Nights Lodging & Boarding Charge is Rs. 5,000/- per
Student & per accompanied Teacher for the whole trip.
The Package Includes: Very well ventilated [throughout the year] Double/Triple Occupancy Room with attached Washroom. Running Hot water & Wi-Fi available throughout the year. JGVK will provide Welcome Drink, Breakfast [3 days], Meals [5 times during the tour], Afternoon Tea & Snacks [2 days] & Morning Tea [2 days].
Day One
JGVK’s Guide/Teachers will take the students in groups to view/inform them about our museum, of archaeological artifacts; learn local cultural history. Then visit our different activity unit to know in depth, like Weaving Centre, Khadi Spinning Chorkha Unit, Puffed Rice Production Unit, Tailoring Workshop, Wool Knitting Workshop, Spice Powder Production Unit, Vocational Workshop, Health Centre, Farm House, Fish Hatching Unit, Organic Agriculture, Model Village to meet the Villagers, School, Biodiversity Park, Algae
Biotechnology Park. Students may also visit the Lord Jagannath Temple opposite our main gate.
Students to attend evening sessions about Water related problems, like Ground Water Level, Arsenic in groundwater, water related other problems etc. and followed by a discussion on “today’s activities”.
Day Two
Sundarban Forest Tour – All the Students & Teachers will board in a Two Storied Boat & during the ride there will be a Guide to explain/narrate in detail while the boat sail through different Rivers / Kharies. The boat will halt near Watchtowers Sajnekhali, Sudhanaya Khali, Dobanki & students may get the experience of seeing Deers, Crocodiles, Gharials, Sushuks & the world famous Royal Bengal Tigers and can see the
different types of Mangroves throughout the boat journey.
Students & Teachers will be served Tiffin & Lunch on the boat .
In the evening students will join for a discussion with JGVK’s teachers about the History & Culture of Sundarban areas and watch Documentary Film/Slides Show etc.
Day Three
Tiger Rescue Centre (Jharkhali) Students can watch Tigers, Crocodiles in close proximity accompanied by JGVK’s Guide.
P.S. – Students are requested not to offer food or throw anything to the animals and be aware of Monkeys – they might snatch Mobile Phones, Cameras, Sunglasses, Food Packets, Plastic Packets etc. from the hands of students.
